Guards her brood,
So we seek shelter
Beneath spread wings
And turn our heads
To hear the beat
Of a great heart.

O Gail, One day when I was a very young teacher in a one-room prairie school my children came running to say they had found a nest, just like this one. We very quietly one by one looked on the tiny creatures and remembered them for alway. And that is probably why I've come to this island. Thank you.
This is a lovely piece and pic. Makes you want to hold them, though I know we aren't meant to.
